[There's a silence, for a bit. Roxas is trying to find the right words]

A few weeks ago, there were these ghost pokemon that caused a fog that gave you nightmares. And I saw...some. That guy in red was there, from Twilight Town, and he kept saying that I shouldn't be here. That if I didn't go back, Sora wouldn't wake up. And Axel was there, and someone else...I think it was Xion...I just, wanted to get away and think after that.

What I saw...isn't your fault. It's just...I'm allowed to be here, right? I can keep being me.

I know. I hadn't planned to.

I'm not entirely alone. My pokemon are with me.

Maybe, if I can get the badge soon, I'll come back to Violet. Before continuing on to Goldenrod.

[Roxas nods]

Yeah, he's my pikachu. He was my first pokemon, except he was a pichu then.

[Sparky has sort of taken up the entire screen and is waving enthusiastically.]

I've been here for about five months, I think.

[quick pause as Roxas rummages through his bag to pull out the box where he's keeping his badges, at least until he finds a better place to put them. He takes out his Zephyr badge, and shoves Sparky out the of the way so he can have the screen]

This is a badge. A lot of the towns and cities have pokemon gyms. You challenge the gym leader to a battle, and if you beat him, you get a gym badge. I think once you have eight, you can challenge the champion!

It took some time to get. I'm hoping to have another one soon since there's a gym here.

Yeah. Falkner, the gym leader, was a pretty tough trainer.
